Terms
Last updated 17 September 2026
These terms cover your use of SciCount. By making a page here you agree to them. If you do not, please do not use the service.
What the service is
SciCount gathers publications and the papers citing them from public sources, and puts them on a page you control. We show where each item came from and whether a reference list confirms it. We do not promise that any source is complete or correct, and figures here may differ from figures elsewhere.
Your account
You sign in through Google or GitHub, and you are responsible for keeping that account secure. One person, one account. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else has reached your page.
Your page and what goes on it
You decide what your page says. Claim only records that are actually yours, and add only publications you wrote and citations that genuinely cite you. You keep the rights to anything you write or upload, and you give us permission to show it on your page and in the files you export. You may remove any of it at any time.
Do not use the service to impersonate anyone, to publish anything unlawful, or to claim work that is not yours.
Free and paid
The service is free to use. Some features are paid, and their price is shown before you buy. Payment is handled by Stripe. You can cancel from your settings at any time, and access continues to the end of the period you paid for. We do not refund part of a period unless the law requires it.
Availability
We try to keep the service running and the data fresh, but we provide it as it is, without a guarantee that it will be available or error free. Imports depend on other people’s services, which sometimes slow down or go away. Nothing here is advice you should rely on for a decision that matters.
Ending it
You can delete your account from your settings whenever you like, and everything of yours goes with it. We may suspend or remove a page that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.
Reports and complaints
Every page carries a report link. Use it if something on the site is wrong, is not yours, or should not be there, and we will look at it. For anything else, write to [email protected].
Changes
We will say on this page when these terms change, and the date above will move. If a change matters to you, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
